Take Advantage of the BOTW Discount! If you aren’t listed in the BOTW Directory then get in there tomorrow. If you are on the fence at all about this, just do it. We have seen this single directory bring sites out of a Panda Penalty. While it’s not a guarantee fix all, it is highly recommended and a great place to start if you are feeling the wrath of Panda.

This is a affiliate link: BOTW Directory

On Page

Not a whole lot has changed with on page stuff other than we are seeing other metrics being introduced into the algorithm.

Unique on page copy, product descriptions etc… as always no ground ground breaking news here, use tools like Open Site Explorer to find duplicate issues.

Unique Titles for each and every page, Include your exact match keywords, but don’t over use them or stuff… again not rocket science… use Google Webmaster tools or Open Site Explorer here

Compelling, Descriptive, EYE Grabbing Meta Descriptions for your search snippets… while this may not have a direct effect on your rankings what it does is increase click through’s which is a usage metric being monitored and is said to be implemented into the algo already.

Make sure everything on your page is directly relevant for the search term/s you are pushing for. With your chief aim being to decrease the bounce rate and increase the time on page, another usage metric that is said to be playing a part in the algo. Your goal here is to keep the searchers attention with your content and keep them on your page without bouncing back to the serps for as long as possible, which will send a signal to Google saying that your page is directly relevant or a good result for that term.

OFF Page

Link Building still works, however as the Algo changes we have to adapt our strategies. We are now only using unique content to build links directly to your money sites. This obviously increase cost so you will not see as many links being built each month. However, what you will start to see is that the Page Authority of your inbound links will begin to increase over time. This is due to the fact that we will also be building relevant links to your tier 1 links, as well as tier 2 links.

You might also notice a different in the anchor text that is being linked to your sites. Gone are the days when you could build hundreds of links for exact match phrases as well as stay under the radar. We have been taking a more natural approach with the anchor text on these unique content contextual links. You will start to see more and more partial match anchor text phrases being linked to your sites. For example, if your main money keyword phrase is “Dell Computers” you might see incoming anchor text phrases like “Dell” “Computers” “Desktop Computers” Laptop Dell Computers” “Dell Desktop” etc…

Things you should take a look at internally and tools that are useful. This part is really for anyone who feels they may have been penalized, lost traffic and or rankings, or have seen a decrease in sales.

Make sure you are ranking in the top 30 for your sites domain name (domainname.com and domain name). Ideally you want to rank #1 for these terms but if you own a domain like buyrealestate.com then chances are you won’t be.

If you think your site could be penalized and you would like further diagnoses then please don’t hesitate to contact us, we do offer consulting. Or if you would just like a list of things to dig in to, let us know.

In our internal Linking program we still work under the premise of you need both Level 1 and Level 2 type links but we totally understand that you can rank an internal page after the base has been built much easier than you can before the base is built. This is the main reason we recommend to all our clients to start with the base building program. We recommend you have your domain authority to at least 55 before starting an internal linking program.
Our internal linking program includes the same LRD builder as our base program. We will be building links to your internal pages with article marketing, blog commenting, forum post. We also incorporate the Level 2 program but in a different way. We put links to your internal pages into blog post (not comments here), posted on to authoritative blogs. The major difference here is that in the base building program we build many home page only type links for the level 2 links In the internal linking program we get your links on blog post which will be on most blogs home pages for a short while but will rotate off at some time. Because of no home page only links we can do more articles. It will be twice as many articles as in the base program. (Remember if we are providing the articles there will be an up-charge for the extra articles)

We also build links to these links with our edge network. This helps the links to stay indexed much longer than if we don’t do this. The cost of this program is the same as the base program. The only difference is that if we are providing the articles then there will be an extra charge for the extra articles. We recommend that you either write your own articles or have your own articles written as you know your subject matter much better than us.

You can subscribe to our internal linking program on our SEO package page by clicking here: SEO Packages

Our philosophy of doing pay per click advertising is constant testing. Pay per click is the best method of testing keywords and ads to see what causes your customers to buy.
It is basically a practice of trading fifty cents for a dollar. How many times would you want to do this. If you are like most folks you would agree to do this as often as possible.

Internet Consulting Now is comprised of a family of SEO professionals that are extremely compassionate about RESULTS. Together we have a whopping 30 years of experience and a proven track record. Our SEO strategies are PROVEN and TESTED. Together, we have successfully launched multiple eCommerce sites, affiliate sites, and lead generation sites.

Meet the Internet Consulting Now Team

Meet Colby

The first thing you should know about me is that I entered the SEO world in an interesting way. It all began in 2003, when I started my first affiliate site, and began promoting a variety of sporting goods online. The domain and site building software was a Christmas gift from my parents that grew into much more. I was bitten by the Internet bug and had started to realize the possibilities of what a strategically optimized site could offer.

Then later, in 2006, I took a great job as a CSR for the largest internet marketing company at the time, StomperNet. It was the best business education I ever had, working on the ‘front lines’ of a huge online company. I was hired by Andy Jenkins and was fortunate enough to work with him as well as Jerry West, Dan Thies, Leslie Rhode, Don Crowther, and Brad Fallon etc. After 3 years of working for StomperNet I decided it was time to put the education to work for me. Since 2003, I’ve launched many successful affiliate and eCommerce sites.

To that end, my father and I along with the rest of our staff have spent countless hours developing and testing different strategies to keep us and our clients… ahead of the SEO curve. We all know that Google’s algorithm is constantly changing, this is why we test. Everything we do is tested and proven. We aren’t just some fly by night SEO firm that’s here today and gone the next. Affiliate Marketing and eCommerce is what we do… it’s our livelihood… it’s how we put food on the table… trust me… we like food on the table so we are pretty good at what we do.

I first learned about the E-Commerce world from my parents, Freddie and Joyce Brister, who has been in and around the internet marketing world since 1999. My first Internet business related job was in 2004 when I was still in High School. I started working for my parents in the shipping/customer service department at one of their E-Commerce businesses. Since then I have been working doing various jobs for their many affiliate and E-Commerce sites.

I just received my Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Phoenix Online. I tried going to ground college but the online atmosphere fit my personality and lifestyle. I seemed to actually enjoy “going” to school online a lot better than at a ground college.
Now that I have graduated college, I plan to further my career in the Internet world. I am working with my family, the Internet Consulting Now Team, as well as starting my own E-Commerce and Affiliate sites.

Building your base is the first thing a person should do with a new site.
It is simple you are wanting to make your site into an authority site. Now before I start I want you to know I am not saying that all your linking effort should be focused on the homepage during this phase of link-building. I am just saying that most of your effort should be. All your money and major linking should be focused on the home page to build this authority. I would also help if some minor linking was going on to some of the internal pages to help make the linking look natural. We can provide this but most of our clients like to do this part themselves to save money. It is very easy to do and we can provide some advise on this if needed.

To build your base we use to believe you needed 10,000 links from at least 100 domains pointing at your home page and your home page should have a domain authority of 70 or be a little higher than your toughest competitor. Now after Panda the 10,000 links is no longer necessary. What you need now is at least 100 linking roots from quality sites and a domain authority of 70 or be a little higher than your toughest competitor.

To achieve this goal we work with a combination of Level 1 and Level 2 link-building. Now just so you know we agree with some of the other link-building gurus out there that say you would be better off to have all Level 2 links the only problem with this is that it would cost you a fortune and most people cannot afford it and to be honest it is not necessary. Level 1 links in conjunction with Level 2 work quite well.

Level 1 link-building.
This is getting links from lower value sites. Sites that for the most part were built for the express purpose of giving links. There are lots of places to get these. You can get them from article directories, web2.0 sites like ezinearticles, hub pages, squidoo, weebly, quizzila and many more. The point is they are easy to get in masses and that is exactly what we do. We have several employees who are trained to go out and get these links in masses for our clients. Our best way right now is manual blog commenting within related niche blogs.
We are constantly monitoring our level 1 link-building and changing it to what ever is working the best at the time. We have used and are still using such things as manual blog commenting, profile link building, article spinning and submitting to massive blog networks and using submission tools. And just so you know we never link out to our money sites or our clients money sites with any black hat spammy tools like scapebox or xrummer. We do use these tools though to build links to our links in our edge network. They are just one of many ways we build this edge network.

Level 2 link-building
This is a much simpler but much harder form of link-building. It is simply going out and finding authoritative sites and getting them to give you a link preferable on their home page. We have a person in our company and this is their main job. They go out and find people who would be willing to give you a link. Then we do what is necessary to get them to give you a link. This can be expensive sometimes. But most of the time because our guy is very good at what he does he finds us some great deals. And because of the power of our group he can also negotiate even better deals.
Another part of our level 2 program is having quality articles written and submitted to level 2 type sites with links back to your site. Half of your level 2 budget will be used to build these article type links and half will be used to get these home page only links. We also put keyword articles on quality blogs and then put one link within this keyword article to your money page for this keyword. We will build links to this keyword article that will transfer the link to your site.
Just let it be known that we have never found a niche that we could not dominate using this technique.

Our prices for this combination package start at just:
$339.97
We also have programs that run $689.97, $999.97.

We give discounts when our clients write their own articles.

We do work with clients on levels higher than these mentioned but we suggest that everyone start at one of these levels and then if we need to work to higher level we will work together to come up with it.
The program works like this 89.97 goes for your level 1 LRD builder program, and the rest is your budget of getting Level 2 links. The size of your package would determine the budget. (The budget would need to be higher for the more competitive markets, because they would need a much larger number or level 2 links)
If you are interested in this you can sign up on our SEO Packages Page or contact us and we will be glad to answer any questions you have about it.

Keyword research is the essence of making money on the internet. It does not matter if you rank or not for a keyword if it is not a money keyword. It is not a matter of getting lots of traffic to your site it is a matter of getting targeted traffic to your site. It does not matter how many people walk by a store if none of them enter the store and cause the cash register to become active. The goal of good keyword research is to causes top conversion not top ranking.

Good keyword research starts with keyword tools but it does not end there. There are some awesome keyword research tools on the market today. Market Samurai, Spyfu, Wordtracker, Google external keyword tool and many more. I am not sure it matters which one you use. I suggest you use the one you are most familiar with. If you are not familiar with any of them, I personally like Market Samurai. I do have to admit though the main reason is that Stompernet provides it for me at no charge. Once I have used any of these tools and developed a list of keywords I want to take that list and build a keyword map. A keyword map is described in Stomping the search engine 2.0 module 3, lesson 3. Here Dan Thies describes taking a group of keywords, putting them into a spreadsheet and assigning them to a certain pages on your site. He talks about a few other steps but for this phase of keyword research this is all you need. Just a list of keywords and a good landing page for each.
Next is what I think is the most important part. You need to take this list and run a test on them in some form of pay per click advertising. I personally like Google adwords. There is a couple of essential parts to this test.

1. make all keywords exact match so that you know for sure what the keyword the customer typed in if they bought something.

2. make sure you have your Google adwords account set up so that it shows which keywords are producing sells. This is not an article about google adwords but if you don’t know how to do this be sure you find out before spending any money on this part of the test. If you need help contact me and either me or someone on our team can help you set this up.

3. make sure you are bidding enough to be at the top of the first page, preferably number one. You are trying to find out if you can make money with this keyword if it is number one in Google. The best way to do this is to be number one in Google and see if you make money! If you are like most people and funds are short then set up a daily limit that will cause the bidding not to break the bank. But bid high on the keyword itself. I suggest $5 or $10 or whatever is a couple of dollars higher than everyone else. Your bids will not be that high it will just help you be number one.

Ultimately you are wanting to see if you can get at least a 1% conversion rate on these keywords. So if someone gives you money within the first 100 clicks then you have found what is probably a good keyword. Remember if you make a sale in the first 10 clicks you can stop the test if you want because the keyword will be a minimum of 1% more than likely. The only reason to keep it going would be if you think you are going to make a profit with the keyword in adwords. (Most of the time I don’t but I have found a few nuggets here)
Now that you have identified a true money keyword. You can go to work trying to rank in the organic results for this one. If you know it will produce money you want mind spending the money that it is going to take to get it to number one. Think of it this way. If you can get 3000 people a month to click on a money keyword by being number 1 and 1% of them buy then that is 30 sales per month. If you average order value is $50 then that is $1500 per month for that 1 keyword. With a 40% profit margin you would profit $600 per month from this one keyword which would be $7200 per year. Would it not be worth spending $500 per month to get to number 1 for this keyword. It would as long as you know it is a money keyword. What is not smart is to spend time and/or money no getting a keyword to the top of Google only to find it does not make you money.
